ELECTRIC AVENUE FESTIVAL TURNS 5
Christchurch’s biggest day out is back and bigger than ever – with more than 25 acts, three stages and 12 hours of festival fun, Electric Avenue Music Festival promises to deliver another huge celebration of music and arts right in the heart of Christchurch’s Hagley Park.

The EA2019 first line up drop is out now! Stay tuned for the second announcement coming soon.

GATES
Gates open for all ticket holders at 11.00am and close at 10.00pm

MINORS PROHIBITED
Electric Avenue 2019 is strictly R18 – minors will not be permitted entry, even those accompanied by a parent.

BRING YOUR TICKET AND ID
While we can scan tickets on your mobile phone or tablet, paper tickets are much quicker and will reduce your time in the queues! Electric Avenue will require you to present proof-of-age ID. If you are under the age of 18 you will be denied entry to the festival. No proof of age no entry.

APPROVED FORMS OF ID
All Patrons are required to present one of the below forms of ID on request. These must be current, and valid on the day of the event. Only these three approved forms of ID will be accepted;

  • New Zealand Photo Driver’s License
  • HNZ 18PLUS Card
  • New Zealand or Overseas Passport

AWOP CASHLESS PAYMENT
Collect your EA19 wristband on entry. Then you can make your way to the AWOP Bank to top up your wristband. It enables you to buy food, drinks, merch and more. Whatever you don’t spend on the band is redeemable at the event or online for up to 4 weeks after the event.

COME PREPARED
Sunblock, hat and sunnies if it looks to be a fine day, and drink responsibly.

LOOK OUT FOR YOUR MATES
Electric Avenue Music Festival is even better when mates keep an eye on each other. Always stick together to ensure the entire group arrives home safely.

PLEASE LEAVE ALL FOOD AND DRINK AT HOME
We have on site bars and plenty of food vendors that have everything you could possibly want from vodka and Red Bull to beer, soft drinks and all sorts of delicious meals and snacks. Unfortunately, homemade food and drinks are not permitted to be brought into the festival. Empty water bottles may be brought in, and free fill stations are available inside the Festival.

ARRANGE SAFE TRANSPORT
Never drink and drive. Arrange someone to drop off and collect you after the festival, use the nearby public transport, taxi, Uber or have a designated driver. There are many options to ensure you and your friends remain safe before and after the event, ask our team if you need assistance. UC Students can also take advantage of direct transport options.

NO CAR PARKING AT THE FESTIVAL
There is no public car parking available for this event. There is a number of (time-restricted) public car parks in the area, as well as on street parking.

LEAVING THE FESTIVAL
Please be respectful of our neighbour when leaving the festival. We also ask that you dispose of your rubbish in the bins provided.

BEWARE OF TICKET RESELLERS
Never purchase tickets from an unauthorised retailer such as Viagogo, Facebook or Trademe. These platforms are known for supplying fraudulent tickets, and the promoter cannot guarantee whether a ticket purchased from a ticket reseller is genuine. Purchasers of fraudulent tickets will be required to purchase a gate sale on arrival, but only if the event has not already sold out.
